| APS - Air Pressure Sealing |

Normally the shutting off or throttling of liquids and gases are not a problem, with the exception of media with higher proportions of solid matter. With bulk materials however, depending on the type, shape, crystaline composition an abrasion behaviour of the grains, crystals or particles, the sealing element is subject to increased wear an this can lead to leaks and finally to a complete breakdown. The emission requirements, absolute gas and dust-proof inflow and outflow or metering of difficult gas, liquid, paste and dust-based media have made it necessary to develop special butterfly valves. Based on the parameters mentioned above we developed the isolator series DKZ 103 APS and DKZ 110 APS 10 years ago and these have proved succesful to the present day even under the most difficult operating conditions. ![]() ![]()
FunctionAPS (Air-Pressure-Sealing) is a system whereby when the butterfly valve closes the galvanised sealing element in the armature housing from outside is subject to pneumatic pressure and is pressed evenly over the whole circumference of the disk. We have continued to develop this successful series and have now designed the next generation of isolators, the DKZE 103 APS. 1. valve open, sealing element slack 2. valve closed, sealing element slack. 3. APS (Air-Pressure-Sealing) valve closed, sealing element pneumatically pressed tight. You would like to be advised ?No problem!
