The butterfly valves in the standard series DKZ 103 GS DN50 - 500 are flameproof against explosions of combustible gases, where their explosion behaviour does not exceed that of propane gas explosions, and flameproof against organic dusts in dust explosion classes St1 and St2, and metallic dusts in dust explosion class St3, where their explosion behaviour does not exceed that of aluminium dust explosions with a KSt value of 1000 bar x m/sec.
The series DKZ 103 GS-ST3 DN50 - 200 was specially developed for metal dusts that do not exceed the explosion behaviour of aluminium dusts with a KSt value of up to 1000 bar x m/sec. Further application limits are characterised here by an explosion pressure shock resistance up to 14 bar and an ambient or product temperature of -20° to +150° C, dependent on the elastomers and components used.
The series DKZ 103 GS-0.3-200°C DN50 to DN250 was designed for an ambient or product temperature of -20 to +200°C. The butterfly valves are flameproof against explosions of organic dusts in the dust explosion classes ST1, ST2 and ST3 up to 1000 bar m/sec, and against explosions of propane/air mixtures and gas/air mixtures with comparable explosion sequences, and explosion pressure shock resistant for 0.3 bar.
All series can also be used in protection systems.
