Pressure sluice System IGS / Patent-No.: DBP DE 3410721
The dosaging of loose bulk products in pressure sytems with no differential pressure poses a special technical challenge. Very often the usual dosaging systems sucg as cell wheel sluices and worm gears, etc. are inadequate because of gap losses brought about by the operational and constructional features.

The Warex pressure sluice is a functionally sound solution to these problems, ensuring optimal operational availability even in the case of very abrasive bulk materials and given differential pressures up to 6 bar.

The basic elements of the sluice are a series of chamber-like containers which get bigger as they get lower, and the Warex DKZ 103 APS or DKZE 103 APS butterfly valve installed on both infeed and outflow side and which has a sealing element which is clamped pneumatically against the valve disc, thus producing an optimum static seal, longer service times and lower forces for operating the valves. (APS)

The relative movements small typical of a valve in the feeding area and the absence of differential pressure opening procedures prevent the creation of a gap flow which would lead to wear. The minimized abrasion to the functional parts results in an operation which is free from leaking air and no longer service life.

Warex pressure and chamber sluices are available up to rated widths of DN 1000 and can be used, depending on the chamber volumes, for throughflow outputs of up to 50 t per hour.
